Heirloom Seed & Poultry Preservation presented by Glenn Drowns, Owner of the Sand Hill Preservation Center. Saturday, June 21, 3-4 PM Multipurpose Room
Sand Hill Preservation Center’s mission is the genetic preservation of vegetables, fruits, flowers, grains, and poultry. This 40-acre farm in Clinton County is run by Glenn and Linda Drowns and is responsible for saving over 2700 seed varieties, 250 sweet potato varieties and 230 poultry breeds. They are dedicated to conserving genetic diversity in agriculture and run a successful mail order seed and chick business. This program will be presented by Glenn Drowns. Please join us and learn about the importance of seed and poultry preservation, sustainability, and their Safe Seed Pledge. There will be a Q & A session after the presentation.
