Tai Chi Ch’uan Mini-Form. Multipurpose Room. Fridays, May 16- July 25. 11 a.m. -Noon. (not meeting 7/4/25)
Tai Chi Ch’uan is a system of rounded, fluid, and balanced movements based on ancient Chinese teachings of living in harmony with nature. Practiced daily and properly as exercise, it promotes mental tranquility, physical fitness, increases circulation and provides tissues with maximum oxygen. Due to its versatility as a system of meditation, physical coordination, and health benefits, it has gained a wide following throughout the world with people of all ages. This program is presented by Katie Sullivan. She has been studying Tai Chi Ch’uan with Scott Caulpetzer since 2006 and attended many workshops with Grandmaster William C. C. Chen of New York City. During this program, she will emphasize correct body mechanics, breathing, awareness and laughter. Class size is limited, you must be 18+ to participate, and registration is required. Please register through our online calendar or call (563) 242-8441. Classes will be on Fridays from 11 am.-noon starting May 16 and end July 25. Due to the holiday, there is no class on July 4.
