CCC Bus Tour - The Local Colors of Character

The Clinton Community College Cultural Committee (C5) is collaborating with the Gateway History Club and City of Clinton to offer the next bus tour highlighting our community’s heritage. The upcoming “The Local Colors of Character” community bus tour will be held on February 24, 2026.   Clinton Community College, located at 1000 Lincoln Boulevard in Clinton, is one of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges.
 
Rooted in the Underground Railroad, the “The Local Colors of Character” tour will show you these important stories that make up our town. More than a list of famous people, this tour takes you to where history happened.
 
The community bus tour is free and will be 9 – 11:30 a.m. starting at the Clinton Community College.  The morning will begin with a 30-minute presentation in the CCC Auditorium, followed by the guided bus tour.  Registration is available by walk-in or by calling the CCC Information Desk at 563-244-7001. Registration will open to the general public on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
