Clinton Municipal Airport to Host 25th Annual Cessna 150/152 Fly-In: Aviation Enthusiasts from Around the World to Gather in Clinton, Iowa

From July 15 to July 18, aviation enthusiasts from across the country—and even around the world—will descend on Clinton Municipal Airport as it proudly hosts the 25th Annual Cessna 150/152 Fly-In. This nationally recognized gathering, taking place next week, celebrates a quarter-century of community, flight, and the iconic Cessna 150/152 aircraft. This event is not open to the public.

Each year, approximately 100 attendees and 60 airplanes gather at the airport to participate in seminars, flying contests, and reconnect with old friends. The group also visits local businesses, with many staying in nearby hotels, and several camping underneath the wing of their aircraft.

“Every year our attractions and restaurants are visited by what in essence is a small convention. These events provide a boost to our economy. I remember one year meeting a gentleman who ran a sawmill in Arkansas. The impact is in the six figures for their stay,” says Matthew Parbs, Vice President of Grow Clinton.

Operated by the Cessna 150/152 Foundation, the event is hosted by Clinton Municipal Airport, which provides the facilities and a welcoming atmosphere that attendees have grown to love over the years.

The Fly-In features:
Flying contests
Pilot seminars
Evening flights
Hangar socials and nightly camaraderie

“This event is a testament to the importance of our airport and the community’s investment in it,” said airport manager Marlana Nass. “We’re proud to showcase what Clinton can offer.”
