Grow Clinton to Host 3rd Annual Education & Business Partnership Symposium

In collaboration with educational leaders across the region, Grow Clinton announces the 3rd Annual Education & Business Partnership Symposium. On Thursday, March 5, students, educators, and businesses will gather at Northeast High School from 5:30-7:30 pm.

This symposium aims to celebrate, strengthen, and enhance relationships between local businesses and schools while providing students with meaningful workplace experiences throughout the bi-state region.

The evening will include dinner and networking, student and business testimonials about their experiences, and a roundtable discussion focused on challenges, successes, and opportunities to further improve work-based learning partnerships.

"I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your support regarding our Work-Based Internship (WBI) program. These opportunities are vital for students as they navigate their future career goals and aspirations. By participating in WBIs, students gain invaluable experiences that enable them to make educated decisions about their future plans. Additionally, these internships help them build lifelong connections that will benefit them well beyond their time in school," said Lisa Sullivan, Northeast Work Based Internship Coordinator.

All businesses are invited to attend. If you are currently hosting students, please come to provide feedback and celebrate the program’s success. If you are not currently hosting students but are interested in learning more, this event offers the perfect opportunity to meet the educators who place students, learn best practices from fellow businesses, and explore how your company can become involved with internships and work-based learning experiences.

"I have a great team committed to furthering the job readiness and work skills of our future workforce. Seeing the list of participating businesses on both sides of the river is amazing. I look forward to hearing the testimonies of the students and what they learned from their experiences. I am happy to share that we have more schools and businesses participating this year, and this is what it is all about, growing and providing more opportunities for our students,” said Grow Clinton, Director of Workforce and Talent Attraction, Stacy Borgeson.

The event is free; however, registration is required. Please register at: https://clintonia.chambermaster.com/eventregistration/register/40877.
