Visit Clinton, Iowa has teamed up with nationally recognized travel influencer The Iowa Gallivant to put Clinton’s culinary scene and hometown hospitality in the spotlight. Known for his engaging storytelling and authentic approach to Midwest exploration, JayJay Goodvin, the voice behind The Iowa Gallivant, has built a loyal following of more than 200,000 travelers and garners millions of views annually across his blog and social media channels.
Through this new partnership, Goodvin spent two separate visits in Clinton and the surrounding area, first during the summer and again in the fall to capture the city’s vibrant riverfront and colorful landscapes.
His video content, featuring Clinton’s most beloved local dining spots, has already attracted over 700,000 views, introducing hundreds of thousands of new eyes to our community’s welcoming atmosphere and homegrown flavor.
Goodvin’s Clinton stops included a lineup of new and signature local favorites: Sweetheart Bakery, Copper Mill, Vitale’s, Imperial Lanes in Camanche, Candlelight Inn, Old Town Family Restaurant, Lucky’s Sports Grill at the Wild Rose Casino and Krumpets in Fulton.
Beyond dining, he explored Eagle Point Park, the Paint It Back murals, the Wild Rose Casino & Resort and the Fulton Windmill, painting a picture of Clinton as a destination where food, art, entertainment and nature meet on the banks of the Mississippi River.
“Clinton feels like the kind of town you hope to find when you travel, where the food tastes like home and every place has a story. This community truly represents the best of small-town America,” Said Goodvin.
With his relatable style and dedication to discovering the heart of America’s towns, Goodvin has become one of the Midwest’s most trusted travel voices. His Clinton coverage underscores what makes our community stand out: a true hometown feel paired with destination-worthy experiences, from family-owned eateries to scenic riverfront escapes.
“This collaboration reflects Visit Clinton’s broader strategy to position our city as a must visit Midwest destination,” said Sarah Smith, Director of Placemaking & Tourism. “By partnering with influential voices like The Iowa Gallivant, we can amplify the stories of our neighbors and local businesses, showcase Clinton’s cultural and scenic assets and strengthen our place on the Iowa tourism map.”
The partnership demonstrates Visit Clinton’s commitment to forward-thinking tourism promotion that not only attracts visitors but also instills pride among residents and supports the businesses that define Clinton’s unique character.
